Ocean Deck MahiMahiS

Ocean Deck’s Mahi-Mahi Sandwich

Broiled, 8oz flaky white fillet w/crispy fries and a special yummy sauce.

As you can see this is worth eating. I love how there are red onions, crinkle cut pickles, two slices of tomatoes, and a bun lost in there somewhere (and yes, I got iced tea). Definitely something to fill you up and this place is ON the beach so you can easily walk it all off. Isn’t that the way it is supposed to be?

Go enjoy!

Ocean Deck MahiMahi show

Thick, beautiful fillet. So juicy! Mmm!

  1. Hard to cook fish well! Often its sooo overcooked that it turns out to be a leathery jerky :(

  2. It does seem to be a fine art, doesn’t it. I think the only fish I know how o cook well is salmon. I LOVE salmon. Thanks for posting :)

    • Don’t tempt me, friend. I’ll scrape up the cash to go to Cali and enjoy one of their fine beaches! Clam chowder in a bread bowl? Bonfire with s’mores and hot dogs? Grilled fish fillet with all the sides and sweet honey mustard sauce? Race you there!!

  4. Just wanted to let you know that I live in Daytona and my friend works at the Deck. The recipe is: Put the filet in foil with liquid margarine, Old Bay, lime juice, lemon pepper, granulated garlic and white wine. They cook it in the foil on the grill to keep the moisture in, then flash grill it, for the grill marks I think. They say it’s for flavor, but it’s not on the grill long enough for flavor to me. I put provolone on mine and mayo! Making it today, as a matter of fact!

  5. Hey, Shannon! Thanks for that yummy breakdown of this delicious dish. I was actually thinking about Daytona, the beaches there and the Deck. They make great food and the view is awesome. I’d like to get an order of the mahi-mahi sandwich and some coconut battered shrimp! Mmmm! Thanks for posting!
